HDNL suck. why stop using royal mail? - 2010-08-06
I choose super saver delivery for this item, and usually royal mail handle those deliveries. I've never had a problem with royal mail - good reliable service.
But for some reason a company dalled HDNL handled this order. They are abysmal.
1. They claimed to have tried delivering it twice to my home, but thats untrue, as I was in all day, all week.
2. Even if for some unknow reason I 'Blacked out'(ridiculous and damn near impossible), and missed the delivery, There was no card left saying they tried to deliver the item. The reason for that is because they didnt try to deliver it.
3. They also say they tried to deliver it at 7.30pm!! They expect me to wait in all morning, all day, and all night?
Either way.. If i did miss the 7.30pm delivery, there was still no card put thru my door.
I know this is not a review of the product...
but its a warning..
If you are going to use supersaver delivery, and if amazon are going to use HDNL to deliver it for you, you could be in for a long, misleading frustrating wait.
This little episode has ruined my week.
I never have had any problem with royal mail..
Amazon, stop using HDNL, or you will loose my custom.
Wahl 300 Hair Clipper - 2010-07-11
First time I have used a hair clipper. I found it easy to use, wish I had bought one years ago.

I bought the Wahl 300 when my previous clipper finally stopped working. The Wahl is a fair bit heavier and at first the set of guides - one for each setting, seemed over-elaborate when compared with the single adjustable guide on my previous clipper. However, after a few minutes experimentation to select the best guide for me, the Wahl showed its superiority. It's weight is probably a reflection of its apparent quality, it's easy to use (or so my wife says) and the results were better than anything achieved with the previous clipper.For its cost I have no negative comments.

wahl 300 series hair clipper kit - basically this kit is excellent, in a word. Has absolutely everything you need and even a useful tutorial dvd on different styles, unfortunately i was stupid enough not to listen to one of the most important rules. Anyone reading this take note, START WITH A LONGER STYLE AND WORK YOUR WAY DOWN, i didn't do this and went straight for a grade 1...unfortunately it dosen't look quite as good on me as i hoped, and now i face a long painful 3 weeks until it grows back, this was my fault and in no way affects my opinion of wahl who provided me with a brilliant hair clipping kit, delivery was amazing, 3-5 days came in 3 very good. The clippers couldn't be easier to use and do a very good job, overall 5/5

Great clippers do what you need them to do but the plastic combs are flimsy and would not take a great deal of force to break. DVD will not work in a dedicated player or on a PC.
