Please be careful - 2008-04-16
I also bought a set of these straighteners and mine have also blown up. They were very good though. I think either they were a bad batch or they need a slight adjustment.

I've had these hair straighteners for about 2 years, they do the job but they are nothing special. My hair is naturally very thick and curly and it takes me a long time to straighten my hair using these. I would recommend them for thiner hair, because they work very well on my friends, but if you have thick curly hair like mine then i would say invest in some better ones. Thats what i'm planning on doing :)
Disappointing - 2006-03-09
These straighteners are nowhere near as good as my previous Remington ones. I have very thick hair, and they barely keep it straight. I have to go over each small section of hair 4 times before it comes close to being straight, and is never really satisfactory.
As for the claim that they get salon hot in less than a minute - if salon hot means lukewarm, then it's true...
This is why I've added wet 2 straight ones to my wish list!
They blew up!!! - 2005-05-21
These straighners where wonderful when i first got them, they straightened my hair perfectly, but them due to bad wiring they just blew up when i turned them on. I'd only had them for 4 months. I'm not sure if this was just a one off with me... but they where very very good when they where working!
