I have used Morphy Richards tongs for quite some time, and been really pleased with the results. My first buy was a Christmas present for myself..........(the Butane cartridges for B. were costing a fortune )
Imagine my dismay when one day last week the base refused to light up ........I waited and waited, to no avail.
Where shall I look, I thought.......Amazon.
Quick and easy to find, placed the order for 22069 style. I received a confirmation from Amazon and an hour later Funky Moose (the seller) to say that my order had been processed. Order delivered today, unpacked, plugged in (this Model heats up more quickly my original) and started to curl. I find with this model the tong grip is far superior, and curls almost immediately.

I found this curling tong difficult to use, as the thumb bar is too far way from the curling tong for smaller hands, my hands are a glove size 6.5. also the little bar gets very hot almost up the the end of it. I used it for the first time this morning and burned my thumb six times! It also gets too hot on the lower setting. Then I burned my hand putting it on it's stand. I will be retuning this one and will probably look for another gas one which I have no problems with. I now can see why the price was enormously reduced!

This tong does what it says it heats up quite quickly and is very hot you just have to be careful not to singe your hair.

Very good alternative to the Baun Gas Tongs, which are not longer available.
If any negativity I would say the handle which you hold could be slightly longer as the remainder is extremely hot.

Was very happy with these tongs, much better than I thought they would be. Heat up very quickly and hold the heat very well. Excellent purchase, great company to deal with no problems very quick delivery.
