Straightening Hair Dryer - 2010-01-04
It took me a while to learn how to straighten my hair using this unique hair dryer, but I'm glad that I persevered as I wouldn't be without it now.
This has changed my life - with regards to my hair of course - 2009-11-04
Amazing product, it has turned me from a scruff ball into a sleek goddess! I put leave in conditioner on my hair then dry it normally for a few minutes on the highest setting. Then turn it down to medium and dry sections using the plates. I hold the end of the section so that the plates hold the hair right to the tips. It makes my hair much straighter and shiney. Brilliant.
Get the newer version instead............. - 2009-09-18
I bought this dryer a few years ago and found it completely useless (not powerful enough, difficult to use etc).
However, I recently bought the new 2000W version (which also has an additional row of straighteners) and found it really excellent! :)
My advice; get the 2000W version and give this one a miss.

I am not sure about all the negative comments and what they expect of a hair dryer. I can tell you that this is the best hair dryer I have had so far and I am very very fussy regarding hair dryers. I looked for practically months in order to replace my old hair dryer, buying and returning them (all brand names and expensive), but was not happy with any! I have long fine flyaway hair that tends to become wavy in humid air and this hair dryer makes it look smooth and nice. Not difficult to use at all either and dries the hair quickly. So what more can one possibly expect of a hair dryer?

After reading all the negative reviews I felt compelled to stand up for this fantastic product!
No its not an alternative to straighteners however it makes straightening so much easier.
I have frizzy afro type hair- blowdrying with an ordinary hairdryer just makes it more frizzy and harder to straighten. Using these make my hair surprisingly straight so I simply have to finish the job with straighteners instead of starting hours of hard work.
They've cut my hair styling time by at least an hour!
