review of Remington rechargeable clippers - 2010-07-25
After charging the clippers as recommended by the manufacture, the first time I used it, the battery went flat after 15 minutes. the cutting blades keep getting clogged up with hair. This clipper set is the worst set I have ever purchased, and the biggest waste of £20 I have ever made, I cannot say one good thing about it.

I was quite pleased with this remmington product. It is good value for money and it has been constructed with durability in mind. However for the more discerning hairstylists among you it has its limitations. It is a chunky bit of kit so anything more than straightforward trimming might be pushing it a bit. That said I use it to keep my hair in a neat close crop and it does a great job.I would recommend for anyone looking for a good basic set of clippers

The remington hair clipper was a good buy mainly because its chargable and doesn't need to be connected to the mains while being used which for me and my son especially there are no wires to get tangled up in.
Very poor - 2010-04-08
I like to keep my hair down to the wood, so I go through the process about once a week.
My previous Remingtons (BHT500A body hair trimmers, which I used for my head) were beginning to degrade badly about the rubberised grip, so I figured that because they worked so well for so long that it was natural to simply upgrade to these.
And what a mistake that was. After opening the box I plugged them straight in for a good charge which lasted around 24hrs - yet the red charge light never turned green. Whether it was supposed to or not I've never managed to find out despite mucho Googlage, but it was a bad sign from the beginning.
When I switched them on the motor sounded reasonably weak. Not undercharged weak (which I admit it may have been through a fault I was unaware of) but just generally wimpish. Like it couldn't punch its way out of a paper bag.
Because the clippers were waterproof I took them in to the shower to give my head a going over, but despite my hair being about 4mm or so long by this point, they didn't cut a single hair even though there were no combs fitted. Luckily I still had my old clippers so I ended up doing it with those and sent these new ones back for a refund.
I was both surprised and disappointed.
